Latin America. The Japanese manufacturer announced the creation of Allied Telesis Wireless, Ltd., a division of Allied Telesis Group, which integrates Extricom's former equipment and acquired assets: intellectual property, advanced technologies, product portfolio and its established customer base.
This division has already started operations in Latin America. The global provider of secure IP/Ethernet switching solutions and industry leader in the deployment and provision of IP Triple Play networks, created its new division Allied Telesis Wireless was created with the aim of further enhancing the portfolio of converged wired and wireless solutions.
Juan Alcántara, regional director in Mexico of Allied Telesis, commented: The creation of Allied Telesis Wireless, and the launch of the Extricom product line, will allow Allied Telesis to offer an unparalleled and complete portfolio of wired and wireless LAN solutions to our customers.
This important development marks our permanent commitment to expanding our access portfolio by enhancing it with a strong wireless access offering, consolidating Allied Telesis' leadership in the wireless network infrastructure sector, explained the executive.
The Extricom product portfolio has been successfully deployed for over a decade in the most demanding environments, such as wide public places, warehouse/logistics/industrial manufacturing facilities, schools and hospitals throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
Extricom Channel Blanket containment-free technology will enhance Allied Telesis wireless infrastructure solutions with reliability, high performance, uninterrupted mobility, noise immunity, and easier installation and maintenance than other alternatives on the market.
Complementing the Allied Telesis Unified Wireless Controller (UWC) and the portfolio's TQ Access Point Series, the Extricom product line will deliver high performance in voice, data, video and location services with uninterrupted roaming in the most challenging high-density environments.
