Colombia. Cybersecurity made headlines and caused many headaches in 2014, with large-scale data breaches in retail stores, attacks on data stored in the cloud, and massive vulnerabilities in decades-old codes.
Cybersecurity researchers at Websense Security Labs laid out their security predictions for 2015 to help global enterprises interpret and anticipate threat trends and defend against innovative and sophisticated attacks.
"Cybercriminals are continually adapting to evasion techniques and methods to circumvent the security systems that were put in place precisely to stop them," said Charles Renert, vice president of Websense Security Labs. "By thoroughly analyzing recent cybercrime trends and tactics, we have established a common thread through each of these predictions: threat activity is increasing in frequency and sophistication."
"With a new year of threats on the horizon, our forecasts aim to help security teams stay one step ahead of the threats and vulnerabilities that reach their organizations," added Carl Leonard, principal security analyst at Websense. "Our security teams are constantly analyzing the landscape to identify the most effective ways to protect our customers from the repercussions of tomorrow's threats."
