Latin America. Boon Edam Inc. recently announced the hiring of new sales staff and the creation of new responsibilities to meet the ever-increasing demand for its security entry solutions in Latin America.
The company's sales have grown tremendously in recent years, prompting it to invest in greater support for its Latin American customers .
"Our sales operation in Latin America began seven years ago with a single person in charge of the entire region," recalls Greg Schreiber, vice president of sales. "Since then, we have seen tremendous growth in opportunity and demand and have now allocated significant sales and support resources to provide Spanish-language services, documentation and training to our Spanish-speaking customers . The response from our customers has been extraordinarily positive."
From now on, this will be the new staff and their responsibilities: Jeannette Sweatt, who previously served as an inside sales representative for Latin America, has been promoted to Business Development Manager for Latin America . Ms. Sweat will focus on continued business development in Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
Boon Edam hired Juan Manuel Pérez from Mexico City as the new Commercial Development Manager for central and southern Mexico. Mr. Perez has more than 15 years of experience in the field of security, both in integration and distribution, and has held a wide variety of positions in engineering, sales and project management, in sectors such as access control, fire detection and closed circuit television, among others.
Magdalena Reyes, who has been with the company since 2011, will continue to serve since Monterrey as Business Development Manager for Northern Mexico.
In support functions to our Latin American customers, two new hires were also made, Myriam Martin, who will be Internal Sales representative for Latin America, and Sam Nussman, new Technical Service representative for Latin America . Mr. Nussman recently launched the company's first technical training course in Lillington, North Carolina, taught in Spanish in its entirety and also offers our Latino clients technical training in Spanish over the phone or over the Internet.
