Colombia. Due to the boom in investment by foreign companies and the remarkable growth of the economy, Colombia becomes for the secure identification market an excellent place where different solutions can be developed in this area.
Therefore, for HID Global, this country offers real growth possibilities, as expressed by Nawel Vargas, Sales Manager for the Andean Region of the company.
This was demonstrated during the E+S+S 2014 fair held in August, where HID Global presented a wide range of solutions to meet the needs of different sectors, including corporate, financial, health and state, in solutions such as the secure issuance of cards, as well as in the management of visitors and credentials with the highest level of security, easy-to-use, high-performance access control platforms and printers.
On the trends and needs identified in Colombia for this market, Vargas said that "there was great interest in being able to implement secure identification documents that allow users to customize those that have currently been used exclusively for the physical access control solution."
Vargas recalled that iCLASS SE technology allows integration with different identification solutions. For example, during the event, in the module aimed at the education sector, an electronic wallet was presented that works on the same access control card, one of the solutions that most caught the attention of the public attending the fair.
This personalization of credentials will allow institutions to access basic user data, as well as the corporate image of the company and elements that will provide greater security every day on the document that identifies a user.
In addition, the manager for the Andean Region of HID Global said that "integration with other internal services of the institutions definitely remains a very key point when defining an identification solution", adding that "being able to store user information such as biometric footprint, is a factor that can raise security levels when authenticating a person".
In short, as Colombia is the third largest economy in Latin America, it has become an important country for the investment and emergence of new and renewed companies, "which allow us to work on new opportunities for Secure Identification in a market that demands cutting-edge technology by constantly keeping itself updated," concluded Nawel Vargas.
