Mexico. Axis Communications recently received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for innovation in design and shape of its innovative AXIS P5415-E Network Dome PTZ Camera.
This unique dome PTZ ready-to-do camera design can be painted and mounted flush with the wall, allowing the camera to unite as a single object against the wall combining seamlessly with the building. An integrated bracket eliminates the need for a separate mounting accessory while making installation simpler and faster while offering cost savings.
Axis P5415-E dome PTZ camera met the criteria standards selected by the Red Dot Design award judges, which were functionality, self-quality, ergonomics, durability, symbolic and emotional content, peripheral product, self-descriptive quality and ecological compatibility. This year 4,815 products were entered in 23 main categories and evaluated by an international jury of 40 renowned designers. According to this announcement, AXIS P5415-E will be on permanent display at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.

The integrated camera protector can be removed and repainted to match the color of the mounting surface. AXIS P5415-E features powerful 18x optical zoom and 1080p Full HDTV resolution for detailed video surveillance. The camera system for panning and tilting is extremely durable and very efficient since there are no mechanical parts such as belts or gears. It is very useful to operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C, the camera supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), thus eliminating the need for extra wiring.
With the pan/tilt direct transmission system, AXIS P5415-E PTZ is a very reliable low-maintenance network dome camera. AXIS P5415-E also features a light sensitivity sensor that provides high-quality video in low-light situations. At night, its day/night features allow the use of infrared light from available light sources to produce high-quality black and white video.
