Colombia. Within the framework of the International Security Fair E+S+S 2014, the Latin American Security Association, ALAS, which brings together the most representative companies and professionals of the sector in the region, will organize the II Latin American Congress of Security with the participation of nine speakers of international stature who will talk about cyberterrorism, emergency management, smartsecurity, among other topics.
Fernando Moreno, an expert in security and defense at the Nueva Granada Military University of Colombia, will hold an exhibition on cybersecurity and cyberterrorism on Wednesday 20 from 8:15 in the morning.
According to Moreno, the conference will highlight "the new challenge for states, economic sectors and the population in general in the face of the presence of a new transnational threat: cyberterrorism, whose objective is to violate the information bases, business continuity and computer and financial fraud."
On the other hand, the Argentine Daniel Banda, CEO of the Softguard company and vice president of the Argentine Chamber of Electronic Security, will talk about the role of smartphones in citizen protection on Thursday 21 at 8:00 a.m. in the main auditorium of Corferias.
About his conference, Banda explained that "today Smartphones can play a fundamental role in taking care of the integrity of people, since they allow digital communications in multiple ways (Wifi, 3G and SMS) and include GPS tracking, audio and video that make them a great tool".
According to the Manager of ALAS, holding this congress in the city of Bogotá is of great importance taking into account the great development that the country has achieved in recent years, which in turn, has been accompanied by great challenges in terms of security.
Likewise, he stressed that the International E+S+S Security Fair to be held in Corferias is "one of the most important and organized in the Andean area" and invited all entrepreneurs in the sector to be part of it.
