Easy to install indoors, the Axis network camera M3006-V designed to meet the video surveillance needs of high-cost market segments such as convenience stores, hotels, schools and offices is introduced.

Axis M3006-V provides a viewing angle of 134°. When installed near a corner of a store, for example, it offers full coverage, allowing users to even see on the shelves on both sides of the camera. Other viewing angles can be achieved through optional lenses.
The Axis M3006-V supports digital pan/tilt/zoom functions, which can be used as a "digital variable focal length lens", which allows the angle of view to be adjusted remotely after physical installation. The camera's digital PTZ, along with its multi-signal view support, allows different areas of a scene to be cropped from the full view and transmitted simultaneously to be viewed or recorded, simulating multiple virtual cameras that can help minimize bit rate and storage needs. Multiple signals in H.264 and Motion JPEG can be sent simultaneously.
The camera comes in factory focus, which reduces installation time. It has 2 m of network cable to be connected and supports power via Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af), which eliminates the need for power cables and reduces installation costs. To make the camera have a better interaction with the surrounding environment, optional coated ones are available.
Axis M3006-V provides significant support for installing intelligent video applications through axis Camera Application Platform. In addition, the microSDHC card slot built into the camera, allows several days of recording to be stored locally on the memory card. When local storage is used in conjunction with the free software, AXIS Camera Companion, users have an easy way to view and manage video from up to 16 cameras per site, remotely.
Axis M3006-V is compatible with other video management software, including AXIS Camera Station and third-party applications, through the Axis Application Developer Partner Program. In addition, the camera supports video and ONVIF hosting for easy integration of camera systems.
