Latin America. Samsung Techwin has once again expanded its range of WiseNetIII Full HD (1080p) network cameras of 2 megapixels with the fixed lens dome with infrared and with a very competitive price.
The low price of the SND-6011R makes it ideal for video surveillance projects in schools, hospitals, offices and stores that have tight budgets, but need to record images from a large number of cameras to serve as a test.
The SND-6011R model joins nine other camera models that incorporate the new WiseNetIII DSP chipset that Samsung has developed as a result of a market research program that has identified what users and installers consider "indispensable" functionalities for high-definition IP network cameras to automatically become the preferred choice when a new video surveillance system is specified or when an existing one is updated.
The SND-6011R, which complies with the ONVIF standard, is equipped with a fixed 3.8 mm lens, has a true Day/Night function and has a built-in IR filter. It is designed to record high-quality colour images at an ultra-fast frame rate of 60fps at 1080p. Even in the most absolute darkness you can see those objects that are at a maximum distance from the camera of 10 m thanks to the IR LEDs integrated in this model.
The SND-6011R model, which uses the H.264 compression method and offers the option to also use MJPEG compression, incorporates the multiple crop function, which allows users to highlight and crop up to nine areas of interest so that the camera only sends the images that are inside that area, with the desired resolution and frame rate. If necessary, an overview as well as multiple clippings of the entire area can be transmitted simultaneously with flexibility in the resolution and frame rate of the video, allowing a smarter and more efficient use of the available network bandwidth.
Its features include the enhanced dynamic range extension with performance above 120dB, which contributes to the SND-6011R being ideal for use, for example, in reception areas or lobbies where there may be strong outdoor lighting, combined with a large number of windows. The SND-6011R also has a built-in SD, SDHC and SDXC memory card slot that gives authorized users the opportunity to remotely access and download videos recorded to the memory card.
The SND-6011R offers intelligent video analysis (VAT) to detect activity using various means such as integrity controller, I/O direction detection, object appearance and disappearance, and scene change manipulation, which creates an alert if paint is sprayed on the camera lens or unauthorized motion occurs that modifies its normal field of view. In addition, alternatively, the motion detection technology built into the WiseNetIII DSP chipset can considerably reduce the number of false alarms by learning what the normal movement is in a scene and by ignoring, for example, the leaves of waving trees.
