International. Security managers at Stonesoft, one of the world's largest providers specializing in network security and business continuity solutions, identified four major concerns to focus on in 2012: mobile device security, identity management within the cloud, profile and threat management, and increasing government regulatory pressures.
These results were announced at a meeting of Stonesoft's executive advisory board, held recently in Savannah, Georgia (USA). "Our board members represent the security strategy thought leaders of a large number of global companies," said Richard Benigno, senior vice president of Stonesoft USA.
"We are convinced that developing the talent to cope with the future expansion of information security will become a priority for these organizations," says Benigno.
Stonesoft founder and CEO Ilkka Hiidenheimo said: "The threat landscape has changed since Stonesoft's inception. It's much more dangerous than we've ever expected, mainly due to the rapid expansion of mobile devices and cloud-hosted applications."
As a basic safety standard, the names of the members of the executive board have not been revealed. However, it has been made public that among the companies participating in this meeting are seven from the Forbes 500 international list, and are both customers and non-customers of Stonesoft.
