Drivers braked in their tracks to fill their pockets with €10.20 and €50 bills strewn across Holland's busiest motorway.
No one cared about leaving the car open or on the middle of the highway. Not even thinking they could cause an accident. Some took the money, which came from a bank, in handfuls.
Dutch law sentences this type of theft to between 1 and 5 years. The most honest have returned it to the police, but most made good the phrase take the money run and go.
