The affected versions are Adobe Reader 9.3.4 (and earlier) for Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX; Adobe Acrobat 9.3.4 (and earlier) for Windows and Macintosh; and Adobe Reader 8.2.4 (and earlier) and Adobe Acrobat 8.2.4 (and earlier) for Windows and Macintosh.
The announced vulnerabilities reside in 23 different issues, most of them critical ones residing in memory corruption, image handling, or input handling that can result in arbitrary code execution.
Adobe recommends that Reader and Acrobat users update to newly released versions using the automatic product update option or by downloading them from Adobe's own website:
