The company made a preview of its viconNet 5.0 digital video management software with an open platform at ISC West. The software combines the power of the program with the flexibility of the open platform, making it easy to integrate with most IP camera manufacturers. In addition, it will introduce support for megapixel cameras, seamless integration of ViconNet VI into the ViconNet interface, and user interface support on 16:9 displays and maps for the Matrix Virtual Controller.

March Networks™ launched VideoSphere™ Visual Intelligence, its new suite of scalable video surveillance software that provides advanced management, research tools and reporting in IP or analog environments. This solution features integrated video and system administrator software, analytical applications, as well as network video encoders and recorders. The software can be installed on industry-standard IT servers over open, distributed and fully scalable environments, it also deploys up to 36 live video and audio streams per grid with PTZ camera control. In addition, the information (evidence) can be exported to CD or flash device including security seal and has local or remote control of the networked system, scalable to thousands of locations and cameras.

Altronix

At the last ISC West fair, Altronix presented the new HubSast series, UTP Transceiver Hub with integral camera power. The HubSat4 transmits UTP cable video (CAT-5), has RS422/RS485 data input, four camera channels and video transmission range, handles above 750 feet per channel. The power of each channel is selected individually and handled by the 24VAC or 28VAC outputs and OFF position.

Optionally the HubSat4 can be used to transfer video from four cameras over CAT-5 twisted pair or a higher structure to connect to any hubWay or HubWayLD UTP Transceiver Hub active transmitter. For this configuration the HubSat4 will provide power for these localized cameras eliminating the possibility of voltage drops associated with the long cables.
