Network video encoders range from the basic single-channel model SNT-EX101 to the 12-blade, 48-channel, rackmount SNT-RS3U model. These devices can dual-transmit images from 30 frames per second at a full D1 resolution in JPEG/H.264, JPEG/MPEG4 or MPEG4/H.264 settings.

It features intelligent motion detection, PTZ camera compatibility, and can detect video loss. Encoders integrate with other network video products due to the use of the ONVIF compatible interface.
