      Details     18 April 2011          **Transceiver for Ethernet over coaxial cable**
![alt](http://www.ventasdeseguridad.com/images/stories/VDS/Productos/nvt-transceptor-para-ethernet-sobre-cable-coaxial.jpg)Network Video Technologies (NVT) introduces the new NV-EC1701 transceiver for Ethernet over Coaxial Cable (EoC), a compact media converter that enables transmission of T 10/100 base Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) up to a distance of 1,500 m using new or existing coaxial cable.

Transceivers can be connected with BNC "T" adapters, forming a network with bus architecture that is compatible with up to five EoC transceivers.

Class two 48VDC power is supplied to one transceiver, which distributes "always on" PoE power to four remote transceivers and their IP/PoE cameras or other devices, which are quickly installed and do not require IP or MAC address configuration for the transceiver.
