The NVR has been developed to support 512 HD cameras with a recording performance of 600Mb/s.

The M500 has a versatile design to be a recording server, a switching server or a management server. It can also be used as an all-in-one video solution.

A key contribution to its performance is the hard drives used by the storage system, it is Western Digital Purple technology. These devices are specially designed for video surveillance, which use optimized writing technology and frame loss protection.

Similarly, the M500 supports up to 48 TB of internal storage and has the ability to archive network-attached storage when additional storage is required.
Both XProtect Expert and XProtect Corporate software come preloaded on the NVR allowing for numerous advantages for Milestone partners.
