The device allows seven modes of use: automatic door closing, guard timer, pulse extender/false trip avoidance, timed relay output, output timed pulse relay, input counter and input timer. It can be configured to trigger a notification (red LED and/or buzzer) and/or a Shape C relay output (10A at 24 VDC).

In addition, it can be activated by N.A. pos. (+) or N.C. neg. (-) input, or with turning on the unit, the relay can be programmed to fire at the beginning or end of the time cycle, or as a switch, it can be programmed to press (0.5 sec on / 0.5 sec off) or constant at (1 sec ~ 11 hours 59 minutes), and includes reset input (N.A.–) to manually restart the cycle.
