A journalist who attended the conference, Mark MacDonald, published from his Twitter account (@markmacd) a photo of the document presented yesterday, with the number of accounts affected by country, and from there it is derived that the affected users in Latin America, only taking the countries indicated in the forms (the largest in affected users), are the following (from highest to lowest):
Mexico: 957,543 accounts. Brazil: 448,839 accounts. Argentina: 101,269 accounts. Colombia: 93,246 accounts. Chile: 80,357 accounts. Peru: 35,517If other countries are taken into account in smaller numbers, the number rises above the 1,716,771 affected. Almost two million users in Latin America can see their data exposed to attackers, so I recommend you take into account the recommendations we have already provided above:
Modify the username and password in PSN.Si the same combination is used for other services, also modify the keys in these. Be extremely careful in the emails that are received to the registered email account, since the attackers could have a lot of data to make it appear legitimate. Cancel the credit card. Although this is only recommended for those who received the Sony alert, there are no guarantees in this contingency situation, so it is still preferable to cancel it, given the probability that an attacker can use it.
