To raise the level of security, the Worcester County Correction Center, in Massachusetts, United States, used a new audio technology to complement the institution's monitoring: intelligent aggression detection analytics. This analytics was combined with AXIS Q8414-LVS network camera, which has a high-resolution internal microphone. The software of the company Sound Intelligence installed in the Axis video monitoring cameras gives alert 24 hours a day. Greg Katz, technology manager for the Police Department, recounts. "Incorporating the audio analytics solution into an existing system was a very cost-effective decision. In addition, the system installed in the Correction Center sends emergency alerts also to the smartphone of the security agents along with an image of the cell in question, so that it is possible to evaluate what is happening even before arriving at the place.
