In addition, its compact size makes it perfect for discreet applications, whether in a retail store, a bank or a health care facility. Like the rest of the Illustra Flex line, the compact 3 MP minidome camera complements the H.264 and H.265 formats for bandwidth management with powerful Illustra® IntelliZip compression technology, which monitors and adapts system transmission parameters to the level of activity in the camera's field of view. IntelliZip also optimizes transfer speed when it detects no more activity to reduce video storage and network bandwidth usage. Advanced VideoEdge® TrickleStor technology enables video recording on edge devices, even during connection interruptions. When it detects interruptions in the connection with the NVR, the camera automatically stores the video on its SD card. Once the connection is restored, the video is seamlessly transferred to the NVR's hard drive for uninterrupted viewing. The 3 MP Flex compact minidome camera uses Power over Ethernet (PoE), in addition to factory-focused lenses, this reduces installation costs because it eliminates the need to install power wiring. The free Illustra Connect software makes the setup process easier and faster.
