The smaller volume of data allows you to create projects with limited bandwidth and save on storage. Zipstream technology is compatible with the H.264 standard, widely adopted in the electronic security industry, and adjusts to PTZ cameras automatically. "The Zipstream adapted to the movements of PTZ cameras in real time. Therefore, their peaks are smoothed during data transfer," says Sergio Fukushima, technical manager of Axis Communications, the manufacturer that created the technology. Despite advances in digital video quality in recent years, many projects, using cameras with HDTV, Full HD or 4K resolutions, are forced to reduce the resolution rate or frame rate, precisely because of network limitations. In some cases, new images are recorded on recent recordings due to lack of storage space. The problem is that these measures make it difficult to identify details in the video when an event occurs. On the other hand, with Zipstream technology, there is no visible loss of image quality. - Publicidad - This additional lossless compression is achieved by adding a module to the camera's video compression mechanism, ensuring that important image details are prioritized in the video stream, while unnecessary data is removed. Therefore, recordings containing data of potential interest are recorded with the highest resolution and image quality, and other areas are filtered to optimize bandwidth and storage. Useful information, such as faces, tattoos or vehicle license plates, is isolated and preserved at the expense of irrelevant data, such as white walls and vegetation.
