With the initiative, which was carried out a few days ago by the Municipal Secretariat for the Prevention of Violence and Promotion of Human Rights, 17 mosquito focus points have been identified. High-definition digital cameras, with 360-degree view and dedicated to the monitoring of areas with high flow of people, which were originally part of a citizen surveillance project, are being used to make a visual exploration of spaces such as outdoor patios, roofs and upper terraces, in order to observe the conditions of swimming pools, water tanks, bottles and garbage, among other foci. With this, a warning is made when there is a need for maintenance or closure of covers, to prevent the outbreak of infection. In its entirety, the urban security project of Feira de Santana consists of more than 200 cameras, to which the Municipal Guard and the Civil and Military Police have access, within a video center managed by the Digifort software, a partner of Axis. The use of the system for the sake of public health began in January. Since then, according to the Secretary of the Secretariat, Mauro Moraes, the presence of the mosquito was identified in buildings, open spaces and even in abandoned vehicles in the vicinity of a highway.
