According to Nawel Vargas, Sales Director for the Andean Region of HID Global, for this event the company brings a large number of high security solutions, which allow airports to create, manage and manage secure identities that can be defined with multiple authentication factors, ranging from the personalization of images (which at first glance allow to ensure the authenticity of the document), to the combination of biometric authentication factors of the officials to verify the identity of each of them. This is taking into account that one of the main needs of airports is to ensure that the staff working in their facilities are really who they say they are; it cannot be ignored that the access of unauthorized personnel to high-security areas not only compromises the operation of the air terminal, but also puts the lives of those who are there at risk. Therefore, in recent years it has been seen that Latin American airports have been transformed to comply with the latest security standards in the sector. Within this transformation, HID Global has played an important part by participating in the adaptation projects of the main Latin American airports, including countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, where solutions have been implemented that allow them to combine several authentication factors. - Publicidad - "I see very positive the renovation of the airports in the region, both in terms of infrastructure and technology. Although it cannot be forgotten that this is an investment that never ends and that must be updated permanently, to face the new challenges to which air terminals are exposed daily," said Vargas, who also extended an invitation to all attendees of the event to come to the HID Global stand, where they will find the new technologies that the company brings to the sector and will be able to solve their main concerns about the implementation of secure identity solutions. In addition to the commercial exhibition, HID Global will be part of the academic agenda through a conference in which it will address the issue of trends in secure identification for airport protection. "We believe it is very important to be present at these events to have direct contact with the administrators of the airport security systems.
