Colombia. Once again , this country continues to be one of the most advanced in terms of investment in security infrastructure in the region. This time approximately 100 cameras are part of the security project for the department of Antioquia, and includes the installation, implementation, adaptation, provision and commissioning of Axis Domes in 17 municipalities of this Colombian department.The municipalities in which the project has been carried out for seven months are Caucasia, Santa Rosa de Osos, San Pedro, Fredonia, Andes, Girardota, Ituango, San Carlos, Guarne, Guatapé, Carmen, Santuario, Urrao, Turbo, Sonsón, El Retiro and Abejorrral, it is estimated that in less than a month the installation will be completed that had an approximate investment of $ 4,500 million (about US $ 2.5 million).
The Project consists of the interconnection of the cameras for each Municipality by means of wireless technology, in which repetition sites were installed to cover the cameras and monitoring centers of each municipality.
Luz Dary Sanchez of Segurtronic Ltda affirms that "this is one of the most ambitious projects on urban video surveillance, this has led to raise it in the other municipalities of the department of Antioquia and also at the national level".
This system implemented by the alliance Company for Urban Security ESU- Segurtronic Ltda., is made up of two parts, the wireless transmission system, composed of Motorola CANOPY transmitters and receivers, which will be the medium through which the video signal and data of the CCTV system equipment is sent Composed of about 100 PTZ DOME type cameras AXIS Q6032-E day / night and the recording system of IP cameras, made up of the server with its respective reception, visualization and recording software.
Each Dome camera that is located at a certain point, has a transmitter that communicates by means of a network cable, taking the video information of the camera by the TCP / IP protocol, this signal reaches the base network switch 10/100/1000, to be incorporated into the IP camera recording server, where the complete video management software resides, for monitoring, recording, playback and video management.
Some municipalities consist of analog cameras such as El Retiro, Guarne and Guatapé for these municipalities the integration of existing cameras to the IP system is planned, for this integration video encoders for analog cameras will be used, AXIS Q7401. This will allow the entire system to be integrated into a single camera monitoring platform.
