# [ Google images can infect the user](https://www.ventasdeseguridad.com/en/news/latest-news/432-technology/14210-google-images-can-infect-the-user.html "Google images can infect the user")

Details 17 August 2010 *International![alt](http://www.ventasdeseguridad.com/images/stories/VDS/Noticias/imgenesdegooglepuedeninfectaralusuario.jpg)*. Through Google's image *finder, crackers* are distributing their malicious programs. These cybercriminals resort to the use of photographs, graphics and any series of images that are related to the user's search so that when he wants to download them, he makes use of the link and infects his machine. This trend appeared in 2009 when sensational images were sent as spam to users and these when they went to the URL downloaded the video codec that they suggested to see the file, immediately these actions made their computer have a malicious program.

The methodology of this attack calls for the update of Adobe PDF or the installation of a free antivirus. In both situations the Internet user downloads a virus or as such an antivirus that will not potegerá but will allow the installation of different threats.
