The solution identifies sounds such as glass breaking, screaming, and human voice, and can now detect sudden spikes in volume that could indicate anomalous or emergency situations. These capabilities are designed to operate in environments with high ambient noise, such as factories, hospitals, airports, and public transportation stations. "With AXIS Audio Analytics, we transform sound into actionable data without compromising privacy, allowing organizations to detect incidents even where the camera can't see," said Diana Ardila, Regional Sales Director Northern Cone. Operation is done from the edge of the system, without recording or transmitting audio. "This app works directly from the edge of the system, i.e. within the device itself, so it doesn't need to record or stream audio. Instead, it converts the captured sound into useful metadata that is visualized in dashboards or business intelligence (BI) systems. This ensures that privacy is maintained while getting a more complete picture of the environment," Ardila said. - Publicidad - AXIS Audio Analytics is included at no additional cost on compatible AXIS devices. By default, it does not record or transmit sound, unless activated by an authorized user. Instead, it generates data on the type of sound detected, the volume, and other parameters for decision-making.
