Latin America. The company launched a solution that seeks to integrate networks and security systems on the same platform, with remote management options and reduced operating costs.
Hikvision announced the launch of its new enhanced wireless access points, aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, micro businesses, and retail businesses that require functional networks without incurring high infrastructure costs or relying on specialized technical personnel.
These devices enable centralized management from the cloud using the Hik-Partner Pro (HPP) mobile app, making it easy to configure, monitor, and maintain the network without the need for additional hardware or advanced IT knowledge.
Access points can be integrated with existing routers, giving businesses the ability to keep their current devices when building or expanding their networks. By using free cloud services, you avoid purchasing additional physical controllers and paying for associated licenses.
According to Hikvision, the HPP app allows you to carry out the configuration, implementation, maintenance and expansion of the network, with a focus on remote management that seeks to reduce technical trips.
"Installers can quickly and easily configure access points in just three steps, in addition to restarting them remotely and resolving issues without the need to physically go to the site," said Miguel Arrañaga, Regional Sales Director at Hikvision Mexico. "This solution also enables captive portals, isolates guest Wi-Fi and optimizes performance with a single click, all tailored to the specific needs of each customer."
In terms of security, the new access points use a token-based authentication system to restrict access to authorized users. Cloud services, including captive portals, incorporate encryption and authentication mechanisms to protect networks from unauthorized access and potential attacks.
