The government of Costa Rica, represented by [MICITT](https://www.micitt.go.cr/), in the company of Amazon, Trend Micro Incorporated and Venable, manage three projects to promote cybersecurity knowledge and skills in IT specialists in their region. In total there will be [3 independent projects that will be carried out by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, Technology and Telecommunications (MICITT) of Costa Rica](https://www.micitt.go.cr/2022/08/12/en-colaboracion-con-micitt-trend-micro-amazon-y-venable-se-busca-fortalecer-capacidades-de-ciberseguridad-en-costa-rica/). All aimed at helping organizations and strengthening their cybersecurity capabilities. This is a relevant issue at the national level, because according to the ministry "Ransomware attacks today have evolved considerably. During the first months of the year, we observed that ransomware families have been increasing their number of successful attacks by now using a RaaS (Ransomware as a Service) model and using triple extortion." He also pointed out that large, small and medium-sized companies are in the crosshairs. August 12 was the official announcement that three cybersecurity tools will be made available to public and private organizations that will help increase and reinforce the knowledge and skills of IT specialists, so that the whole country is increasingly prepared for cyberattacks. - Publicidad - These tools are free of charge and will be run by the local Trend Micro team in Costa Rica.
