Milestone Systems has created an open platform for software with vision technology, which works with applications that generate benefits in areas such as safety, transportation, emergency response, traffic optimization and even wildlife. "Milestone Systems enables an open platform community that promotes collaboration and innovation in the development and use of network video technology," says Bjørn Skou Eilertsen, Chief Technology Officer, Milestone. "We believe developers will change the world. Our Integration Platform (MIP) Software Development Kit (SDK) can help them achieve this. It gives developers the opportunity to innovate with solutions and use our powerful VMS platform as the engine to do so." The winning concept can be an integration, additional functions, a control (widget) or code that allows to extend the use of the VMS in any practical application. Participating developers can create a visual tool, a device enabler, a database for analyzing data or measuring information that can be applied in new ways. The two requirements are, on the one hand, that the solution be integrated with Milestone's XProtect VMS (and possibly use the MIP SDK), and, on the other, that the idea is the intellectual property of the contestant. - Publicidad - "We perceive technology as a tool. We are open to innovation and are looking for solutions that we have not yet imagined and that can make the world a better place," said Jasleen Rehal, community interaction manager at Milestone Systems. Three finalists will receive free admission and an exhibitor booth at the annual Milestone Integration Platform Symposium (MIPS) in 2020, where the winner will be announced, who will receive a prize valued at US$65,000.
