Rook Security offers a 24/7 team of cyber threat hunters and incident response experts who monitor, search, analyze and respond to security incidents for businesses of all sizes. The privately owned company was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sophos is creating MDR services that can be resold by combining Rook Security's threat detection, investigation, and response capabilities with its recently acquired DarkBytes technology platform. As the premier channel security provider, Sophos will offer the new MDR services through its network of approximately 47,000 channel partners worldwide. "Cybercriminals are relentlessly trying to exploit organizations with techniques ranging from proven and true phishing emails to the most recent trend of 'hacking' to find weak spots in their surface area. As a result, businesses need 24/7 monitoring and management of what's happening on their network, but many of them don't have the expertise, can't keep up, or don't have the in-house security teams to optimally set up and manage security 24 hours a day." said Joe Levy, Sophos' chief technology officer. .
