The Mayor of Laval was the guest of honor and participated in the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon. The new office, built with current energy efficiency requirements, is part of a multi-billion dollar industrial project. It will enable CDVI Americas to continue its goal of becoming the leading manufacturer of access control systems. The building offers a much larger assembly and manufacturing capacity and increases inventory capacity by 400%, which will serve to improve CDVI's efficiency in responding to customer needs. Mr. René Mallandain, President of CDVI Americas, commented, "I wanted to provide an environment for our employees, with a green environment, proximity to the subway and public transportation, access to bike paths, and with more space and light, to provide inspiration and encouragement to our employees."
