This company has committed to make three VMS product launches a year, as well as launch a new device pack every two months to support new third-party devices. Such a schedule of frequent launches will ensure that Milestone can respond promptly to the needs of the Milestone market and community. Thanks to XProtect's truly open platform technology, Milestone can quickly respond to community needs and enable cost reduction in large installations. For XProtect, this means 3.1 Gigabit/S recording server performance. This high level of performance allows Milestone's community partners to deliver large-scale solutions using a small number of servers or even smaller servers. This helps reduce hardware costs and simplify the required structure. In short, it significantly reduces the total cost of a Milestone solution. "High performance is a key factor in reducing the total cost of ownership. We can reduce the number of recording servers by 50 percent or more in large installations, thanks to our excellent performance. No other competitor can do it," said Bjørn Skou Eilertsen, technical director at Milestone Systems. "Our software is constantly evolving to become the best platform on the market for video solutions.
