This designation reaffirms GM Security Technologies' expertise in evaluating enterprises' security infrastructure, procedures, policies, networks, and systems to ensure the protection of customers' payment data in compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard "PCI DSS." The PCI Security Standards Council is an open global forum for the ongoing development, enhancement, storage, dissemination and application of security standards for the protection of account data. Created in 2006, and endorsed by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc., with the goal of ensuring the protection of their cardholders' data, the PCI Security Standards Council requires that both merchants and service providers who in any way store, process or transmit cardholder account data have information security controls in place. As a Qualified Security Advisor, GM Security Technologies plays a vital role in protecting payment card environments, by evaluating and advising on customer data security strategy.
