Details 21 December 2012 ![alt](https://www.ventasdeseguridad.com/images/stories/VDS/Noticias/panamaautoscontroltransito.jpg)*Panama.* The Transit and Land Transport Authority (ATTT) put back into operation the concession contract for the surveillance camera service for road safety, better known in this country as 'cameras puts ballots', which it granted to the company Traffic Safety.

A few days ago the director of the ATTT, Ventura Vega, reported that modifications to the contract were advanced, which would allow to vary the percentage that both parties would charge for the ballots imposed.

Last June, the cameras came to light at the same time as the questions against the contract that establishes that the State would keep 35% and the company with the rest (65%).

Vega told Telemetro last week that the margin would be reversed. 35% would be for the company and 65% for the State, but he did not offer further details.

The truth is that the contract was signed on April 20 of this year and the company placed the first camera in Costa del Este and imposed 2,000 tickets for speeding that has a penalty of 50 dollars. That is, the sanctions totaled 100 thousand dollars.

The contract gives the company the right to install 20 cameras or more across the country.
