In some critical places where the cameras are, the number of crimes was reduced by more than 50 percent, according to the police. The chief commissioner Claudio Vignetta estimated, a few months ago, that in critical places where the cameras are, the number of crimes was reduced by more than 50 percent. "An emblematic area is the Plaza de las Américas, which has the town of El Pocito nearby.
