      Details     07 October 2010            *International![lavigilanciainalambricacomienzaatomarseelmercado](http://www.ventasdeseguridad.com/images/stories/VDS/Noticias/lavigilanciainalambricacomienzaatomarseelmercado.jpg).* According to a study by IMS Research on the use of wireless technology in video surveillance in the international market, during 2010 there will be a 20% increase in the installation of this equipment in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.This penetration of wireless technology occurs thanks to the advantage that these equipment have over traditional network connection, since they can be installed in large areas where networks do not always exist, in addition to the savings in the costs of installing wiring. This technology has the greatest growth potential in the commercial, transportation and education sectors, according to research conducted by IMS.

However, the penetration of wireless devices in other markets has been less successful, as explained by Niall Jenkins, senior analyst at IMS Research, who added: "In markets such as financial or banking, traditional technology has a deep-rooted niche, as there is the idea that the security system could be breached through the wireless network."
