Cummings, who has been in the security sector since 1973, spent the first 12 years in retail and has been in healthcare since 1985. He currently serves as director of service loss prevention for Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, where he has been since 1987.Michael has been a member of ASIS since 1978, has served for several years in training the Milwaukee chapter. He was a member of the Standing Committee on Health Care Safety from 1989 to 1999 and chaired the commission in 1997, 1998 and 1999. He was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of ASIS in 2000 and was re-elected in 2001 and 2002. The new President of ASIS assures that he sees many changes and opportunities for the Association, as well as for professionals in 2009. It also believes that to know the needs of members it is necessary to be creative in terms of partnerships and resource development, establishing relationships. formal and informal with like-minded organizations, and continuing with initiatives to address the specific needs of various groups of professionals.
