The 13 security cameras were installed throughout the municipality in the most public places and at the headquarters of the Municipal Police, in order to record the movements of the police officer in charge of the proper use of the security system. According to the report presented by Governor Aníbal Acevedo Vilá, in recent months there has been a decrease in the number of murders in the country, 16 less at this date than last year, which is due to the 'Safe Punishment' program that includes various alternatives such as security cameras.
