International. Assa Abloy has just taken control of Level Lock, a technology solutions company based in Redwood City, California. Previously, the company had announced an agreement to acquire the Swiss company Skidata.
Level Lock was founded in 2016 and has about 70 employees. The main office is located in Redwood City, California, USA. Sales for 2023 amounted to about $16 million.
"I am extremely pleased to welcome Level Lock. This acquisition is an exciting technology addition and will provide complementary growth opportunities," said Nico Delvaux, President and Chief Executive Officer of Assa Abloy.
"The acquisition of Level Lock complements Assa Abloy's technology portfolio and strengthens our digital offering across multiple businesses in the Americas division," said Lucas Boselli, the company's executive vice president and head of the Americas Division. "Their innovative platform enables a simple transition from mechanical locks to digital access solutions with minimal effort."

Last July, Assa Abloy signed an agreement to acquire Skidata, a provider of access management solutions founded in 1977 and part of the public access division of the Swiss Kudelski Group. Skidata is headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, and will be part of the pedestrian business segment of the Access Systems division. The acquisition is expected to close during the third quarter of 2024.
