International. The implementation of HID Mobile Access and HID Signo readers improved the operational dynamics at the Davivienda bank facilities.
This was reported by the manufacturer of the solutions acquired by the Colombian entity, in order to counteract the obsolescence of the access systems in its offices and corporate headquarters.
On a technological level, Davivienda faced significant challenges, related to the existence of multiple access technologies for 18,000 people in five countries. In addition, the environmental impact of the use of physical credentials and the length of the carding process were major concerns within the company.
Optimizing the Revenue Scheme
With HID's support, the financial institution upgraded its access control system to incorporate mobile credentials with HID Mobile Access technology, iCLASS Seos physical cards, and the Origo credential management platform.
In addition, the HID Signo 20 and iCLASS SE R10 line of readers was implemented, allowing employees to access facilities more efficiently and securely, eliminating the need for multiple physical credentials and reducing environmental impact.
"During the pandemic, Davivienda was able to see first-hand the advantages in terms of security, biosecurity, functionality and innovation provided by our HID Mobile Access virtual credentialing solution, and the project took a turn from there, taking the virtual credential on mobile devices as the main identification tool as the central axis," said Jorge Bejarano, business manager for PACS end users at HID.
Benefits Obtained
Davivienda's adoption of modern access control systems strengthened the protection of physical spaces, which contributed significantly to preventing incidents and safeguarding the confidentiality of sensitive information.
In addition, employee carding has become much more agile, reducing the production process from 10 days to 5 minutes. So far, Davivienda has more than 10,000 active virtual Mobile Access credentials for plant employees, which work in conjunction with around 1,500 physical iCLASS Seos cards for contractors. The migration of all technology promises to increase operational efficiency and the comfort of your staff inside your facilities.
