Latin America. Dahua Technology presented, in its virtual event New Business Connect 2022, the novelties for the Latin American market. Monitors, televisions, storage units and transmission solutions were the protagonists of the day.
Fernando Tovar, training manager of the company, was in charge of socializing the solutions that, in addition to entering to meet a regional demand, go hand in hand with the brand's purpose of being a benchmark for multiple solutions, hence the slogan "Dahua beyond CCTV".
Monitors
3 new business lines were launched by Dahua in the monitor segment, all of them with the ability to support up to 75 Hz that increases image quality, they also have super high contrast ratio, fast response time and a vertical and horizontal viewing angle of up to 178 °. The CCTV, Commercial and Gaming Series.
The first designed for video surveillance projects, with the ability to work in continuous days and intelligent energy consumption that allows the end user to save on their electricity bill.
The Commercial series, designed for offices, offer a monitor of elegant and thin design, with technology that prevents blue light from directly impacting users. And the gamer-friendly Gaming Series features HDMI video ports, Display Port, audio outputs, special ergonomic dock, backlighting, and ultra-thin bezel.
Televisions
The new Dahua TVs have Quantum Dot technology, so they provide, according to the brand, "an extremely realistic sharpness". They also occupy QLED mini blue LED technology and Dolby Audio technology, to improve the vividness of color and sound quality, respectively.
Storage
In this segment, solid state drives (SSDs) with capacity from 120GB to 2TB were presented, in SATA, mSATA and M.2 format, focused on both commercial and business needs. In that same sense, the offer of portable SSD storage units, offers options from 500GB to 1 TB; and external hard drives range from 1 to 2 TB capacity.
Such devices are designed to work with high-resolution video and 24/7, 90% writing and 10% reading, they are highly resistant to humidity and temperature.
In addition, in this category there was also talk of USB sticks, with capacity 8 to 512 GB and the NAND Flash type, from 32 to 512GB, special for consumer, business and industrial users. These memories are compatible with Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems.
Transmission
In transmission devices, I highlight their design especially useful for video surveillance projects. In their characteristics they offer high energy flow, voltage protection greater than 6KV, lightning protection and withstand temperatures from -40 to 75 ° C.
In that sense, they have connection and energy up to 250 meters and include WatchDog technology, which allows you to automatically refresh the equipment when a camera or other connected device that is not transmitting.
The switches have a special red port that offers 90 watts, which allows powering, for example, PTZ cameras over long distances. For its part, the offer of PoE injectors covers distances of 250, 800 and up to 1,000 meters, which represents a technical advantage and savings in implementation costs.
Finally, this new product line also includes robust and easy-to-install Non-PoE switches, as well as wireless transmission antennas, access points and routers.
