Latin America. SCATI announced the addition of the K series to its portfolio of video recorders. Based on IP technology and within the VISION SUITE, this equipment has an integrated PoE switch with up to 24 PoE ports, to facilitate the start-up of the cameras connected directly to the equipment, which provides significant cost savings, and is expandable up to 64 IP channels through recording licenses with total availability.
The K series has 8 3.5" SATA Hot Swap (or hot plug) front drives that allows you to connect / disconnect your hard drives without turning off the equipment, which avoids damaging the storage unit internally and ensuring its continuous operation and has up to 80TB of storage.
Its design maximizes uninterrupted failure time by implementing hardware redundancy in its components and RAID 5 storage configuration, making it ideal for mission-critical video surveillance operations.
As the recording needs are different in each project and in each client, using cameras of higher or lower resolution, having to record for more or less time, continuously or by events, all SCATI VISION recorders allow configurable storage with discs specifically manufactured for use in video surveillance.
K-series equipment uses H.265 compression algorithms. which allows to store the images in less space (up to 40% less compared to other manufacturers that use H.264) and that the transmission of the images through the network can be done in a much lighter and more fluid way.
Like all the video recorders of the VISION SUITE, the K series incorporates functionalities that allow you to monitor your health and operations continuously and, in the event that a fault is detected, notify your technical alarms; And, in addition, they are able to simultaneously serve multiple clients and limit the transmission of information according to the available bandwidth.
SCATI confirms that all its products and systems comply with the requirements of the US NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) and that they are 100% compliant with it.
SCATI also declares, by means of the CE marking (Conformité Européenne) of the European Union, that its products comply with the minimum safety requirements set out in the implementing directives.
