Latin America. Boon Edam announced the official launch of BE Secure, a new secure top sensing system for use with Turnlock full-height tourniquets. This solution will be showcased during GSX 2022, which runs September 12-14 in Atlanta, GA.
This new system is specifically designed for the detection and prevention of connections within the range of full-height tourniquets of Boon Edam. The Turnlock 100 full-height tourniquet with the integrated BE Secure superior sensing system will be on display alongside the company's suite of additional security input products at GSX booth #3017.
"Boon Edam's full-height turnstiles have long been a solution to deter unauthorized entry and vehicle tracking due to their robust and rugged design," said Kurt Measom, vice president of products and technology at Boon Edam. "With the addition of the BE safe aerial detection system, we can now also address the problem of transport in tow. For our customers, this translates into a more secure and effective security perimeter."
The BE Secure system uses time-of-flight (TOF) measurement principles combined with artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to detect when two people attempt to enter the same compartment at a tourniquet using a credential, also known as piggybacking. If a piggybacking is detected, the tourniquet will automatically lock and reject the entry. Built for both outdoor and indoor applications, Boon Edam's range of full-height turnstiles with integrated BE Secure are ideal for a variety of applications where piggybacking detection and prevention is required.
Boon Edam's Turnlock 100 and Turnlock 150 full-height turnstiles can be ordered with the BE Secure superior sensing system installed as a factory-supplied option or as a field reconditioning kit. For the Turnlock 200, BE Secure is only available as a factory "Special Request" on new products shipped.
