Mexico. Ventas de Seguridad accepted the invitation of Axis Communications to participate in its annual press conference and knew about the latest news and strategies that the company has prior to Expo Seguridad Mexico 2022.
In this space, Manuel Zamudio, Manager of Industrial Associations and Alejandro Aguirre, National Sales Manager Mexico & CCA, of Axis Communications, showed the technologies that will be launched in the Latin American market, as well as plans and topics of relevance for the IT sector.
Back to face-to-face
After two years marked by the pandemic, the video surveillance company once again brought together media in face-to-face format. We learned about the latest innovations in electronic surveillance, and a very pleasant moment was shared after a period of maintaining digital contact, strengthening their editorial alliances with the media and confirming their participation in Expo Seguridad México 2022.
Manuel Zamudio added that this event is an opportunity to strengthen the relationship with the media. "Within Axis, everyone who in some way helps us achieve a smarter and safer world is a fundamental piece, and this time being able to meet again with the media is proof that we seek that our alliances are long-term regardless of the challenges that are presented to us."
Technological development
During the press conference they talked about how the brand has been innovating since 1996 when the first IP camera in the world was presented to the market and that this 2022 celebrates 26 years in the market. They also highlighted inventions such as the ARTPEC Chip, a video processing device that provides the foundation for essential capabilities such as image quality, analytics features, and encoding performance.
"It's the secret behind our highly advanced network cameras," says Zamudio "The invention of ARTPEC allowed us to develop completely new technologies, such as Axis Forensic Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), Axis Zipstream data compression technology and powerful analytics that run at the edge and are based on deep learning."
Some advances that have been made in cloud technology were also mentioned, how Axis designs its solutions thinking about specific use situations linked to the needs of its customers and how cloud technology serves to respond to these needs. Axis' approach is not to force customers to adopt a certain technological model, but to use the best available solutions (local devices, servers/equipment and cloud systems) to put the most optimized and flexible solution in their hands. "And this approach is also reflected in our commitment to the use of open platforms in our technologies and in our collaboration model, which allows customers to find the best partner and the best applications in response to their needs."
New smart solutions
During Expo Seguridad Mexico 2022, some new launches of the brand will be present that come to strengthen its audio and video security ecosystem, in order to offer the market devices that fit the needs of each sector.
- The world's first network strobe siren: AXIS D4100-E is the first of its kind, helping to deter intruders, ensure safety on site and improve operational efficiency with the power of light and sound. Integrated via VAPIX, MQTT or SIP, the device comes with various light and sound patterns to ensure the right level of protection for specific environments.
- New AXIS Audio Manager Pro update: New features include a web-based user interface, support for larger systems with a larger number of speakers (now supports up to 5000 speakers and 100 zones), and SIP server support with trunking to PBX systems, plus improved programming and volume control.
- AXIS W101 Body Worn Camera: This solution offers improved image and audio quality, with extremely sharp images in every frame and clear audio with noise suppression. These characteristics have made it ideal for use in sectors beyond police surveillance, since it has shown great benefits in sectors such as Critical Infrastructure, retail, health, etc.
- AXIS Barcode Reader: This is a QR code reader that optimizes the management of temporary access with this application based on local storage scalable and easy to install.
