Not all that glitters is gold

The security industry has always contributed to the goal of increasing the feeling of security in verticals and users by offering customers the best option according to their budget and their needs. But with the arrival of the pandemic, new challenges appeared that forced the sector to find other solutions and take advantage of some that had not been so crowded, which offered security to people, not only in attacks or robberies, but also in personal protection to avoid the massive spread of the virus in different spaces.

So far so good. With the arrival of Covid-19, factories and researchers began to develop and design technologies that contributed to biosecurity measures and the care of people, then controversial cameras appeared to detect temperature, contactless solutions, video analytics for distancing people, the identification of broken with masks, among others; and this became an important wing of the business.

However, with each need also came the opportunists who begin to sell smoke and play with people's health only with the aim of selling.

We know that there have always been those who offer more security for less value, when it is clear that "that is so good they do not give so much"; and that's when we have to continue to educate the customer or the end user more consistently, so that they understand the risks of acquiring dubious solutions that sell you the idea that you are buying something that will "protect" and take care of people and their assets, when what it is really doing is putting everything at risk.

Each of us knows the responsibility we have as an industry to people today. Our readers and our clients are very serious professionals, but we also have the task of identifying those who only seek their own benefit in a situation as complicated as today.S.

It is in our hands to continue reporting correctly. That the training spaces do not cease and, as they say colloquially, we have to continue "sticking our finger in the wound" so that our clients remain well informed and can choose the safest solution for their spaces.
