Evolution in vehicular access control systems

acceso vehicular

The importance of optimizing access control systems in vehicles and avoiding security failures.

by Omicronix

Vehicle access control systems have been evolving over time from opening with a security guard to automated and quickly motorized doors. They remember when we arrived at a place and a person was the one who opened the vehicle door, checked and read the expression of the resident to authorize entry, but how exposed were both people to some kind of physical insecurity?

Later comes the era of the chip, pin and access card integrated with wireless radio frequency devices which generated a comfort before all users of the system with some security fluctuations, access credentials became transferable and easy to disclose.

Then came the tactile age, where biometric systems such as fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, iris recognition and vascular pattern recognition, have provided "security" and comfort in one place. In addition, long-range cards arrive becoming the most comfortable system for everyone, the opening of the door can be done on average from five to fifteen meters away.

Today we see vehicular engines with the capacity for longer operating cycles and engines with high frequency of work in both weight capacity and speed, helping to minimize intrusion.

Currently the evolution in the manufacture of processor hardware is allowing the development of security systems with artificial vision with a precision that surpasses human vision, integrated with video analytics solutions such as classification, detection and tracking of objects. For example, Automatic Plate Recognition System or its acronym in English ANPR Automatic Number Plate Reconogtion.

However, the statistics in Latin countries on thefts from residences and / or motor vehicles is not encouraging every day we feel more violated, sometimes the aggressor follows the victim to his place of residence or seek the opportunity to enter an enclosure to commit the theft, or simply in a public parking lot vehicles that easily pass behind an authorized vehicle and do not make use of their credentials, avoid the payment of the parking lot, becoming the vehicular access in one of the highest foci of intrusion when the door or the vehicular access is open for the access of an authorized vehicle.

Did you know that there is an electronic device to optimize Vehicle Access Control Systems and avoid these security failures? It is an electronic security device that integrates with your vehicle access system developed mainly to recognize an unauthorized crossing while the vehicle door is open and automatically generates different types of notifications in case of an intrusion, such as the activation of an alarm to an audible and / or visual device, Transmission of digital signals to a monitoring system through an alarm panel, Generation and sending of notifications to emails through a WIFI network or text messages through SMS.

Additionally, the safety device has several functionalities added to the system, such as the detection of the vehicle door open for a programmable time before and / or after an authorized vehicular access, Vehicle door poorly closed, Automatic door closing signal and detection of failure in the sensors in case of sabotage or hardware failure through an audible sound system.

The device is fully integrable to any vehicular access system, providing an easy and economical implementation. The optimization it offers to sophisticated security systems is indisputable, solving the safety flaw in the vehicle door while it is open for seconds while closing after entering or leaving the vehicle.

This development has been emerging due to the need for security that arises at the entrance of a building, whether residential or institutional, providing us with high security. Today there are several buildings that have this device in the city of Bogotá, and their levels of intrusion and insecurity have decreased.

Automated security systems increasingly revolutionize the residential, corporate and institutional market, providing the consumer with security, given that it is one of the biggest fears experienced in a Latin American country.

If we provide a robust and optimized solution in the projects of Vehicle Access Control Systems (SCAV) we will be able to offer customers and users new experiences, great comfort and high safety standards. Nowadays many companies in Electronic Security have provided very good solutions such as "Smart Buildings" that would rather be Automaton Buildings for their ability to detect and react to patterns, analyzing the flow of data from surveillance cameras, sensors, pedestrian and vehicular access controls, and all electronic devices related to comfort and security for a building.

These new security devices will help optimize vehicular electronic systems, provide robust solutions to smart buildings and support security guards in a more effective way in their performance and monitoring companies.

All these systems and their different versions have generated tranquility and comfort in the users of the system, but our cities and countries have a bigger problem that is the intrusion to buildings and how these systems when integrated help us to improve vehicle safety and control entry.

Now, we have a system capable of detecting double entry, generating different actions such as switching signal with monitoring companies, activation of visual and auditory alarm, door closing, developed as a security complement for vehicular access control.

To date there is no system that detects an intrusion in a vehicular access and that has the logic of detecting a double step after an authorized vehicle, contributing to minimize a high risk of theft at the vehicle entrances to the parking lots.
