Latin America. Hikvision unveiled its new AI-powered surveillance platform called Hik-Central 2.0, which allows centralized management to be used anywhere it is needed.
Hik-Central is Hikvision's video management platform for its entire video platform, which was released in 2017 in its version 1.0, video devices only. In the following years it was improved and expanded so that in version 1.7 it already integrated other Hikvision solutions such as Video Wall, Access Control, alarms, among others.
The new platform has two tangible startup benefits. One of them is the technological level of the solution that makes it very attractive for customers, since they always require using a single platform to manage all their security systems. On the other hand, the price level is quite competitive, making it one of the most accessible platforms on the market, which offers a very wide range of possibilities for multiple applications.
Miguel Arrañaga Pre-Sales Director of Hikvision explains that with the latest update to Hik-Central 2.0 there are many improvements both in the visual part, and in the internal part of perfecting the processes.
Today, Hik-Central 2.0 has a new visual interface, very user-friendly, focused more towards supporting day-to-day work operations, such as monitoring, reproduction, event management among others. The new version also integrates other Hikvision solutions, such as:
• Intercom: This new utility allows you to manage audio and video intercom systems from one terminal, to hundreds of users as in typical applications of condominiums, housing or residential units where it is necessary to have a common control point to handle multiple users.
• Digital Signage: This is the newest of the applications and aims to be used in conjunction with information deployment equipment, such as Screens or Video Totem, where from Hik-Central you can arm yourself, and send the content you want to show to users or potential customers. For example, a very clear application is within shopping malls, airports, Hotel Lobbies and receptions, where content can be dynamically programmed so that it can be executed without the need for a pending operator 24 hours a day.
Another of the strengths of this new version is its ability to integrate different types of solutions and third-party technologies. The use of Hik-Central guarantees that the solutions it integrates, such as Video, Network Recording, Mobile Devices such as Bodycam, Under Vehicle Surveillance System (UVSS), Access Control, Time and Assistance, Alarm System, Panic Alarm (Emergency Buttons), Radar for perimeter detection, Digital Signage, Smart Wall and temperature detection solutions and use of masks, they are on a single platform that manages them, and coordinates the functions of alarm relationship and events between them.
