When I went through those pages I also found a rather interesting note that invited the reader to wonder if he was already in the fashion of the digital home. They quickly presented the five technologies that in their opinion were the starting point to make the dream of the smart home come true: connection of the laptop to the LCD; an old computer turned into a home server; distribution of music in the different places of the house; automation of the property; and one that touches us directly, assembly of a video surveillance system over the Internet.
On this the publication recommends several steps: installation of the cameras in the preferred places -it clearly suggests that an expert be contacted to design a good configuration of cameras-, adjustment of the computer to identify the wireless cameras -this through the software and the control of the wireless network of the home-, organization of sending alarms to the cell phone or by email according to the type of cameras used and, finally, measurement of the quality of the images.
That CCTV has moved to homes is nothing new, in fact residential customers constitute a market that has not yet been fully exploited. The novelty here is that already a sector such as computing is handling with some ownership a concept that until a few years ago was exclusive to the security segment, and it does not cease to surprise the fact that practically the end user, with a little technical knowledge, can perform simple and functional installations.
This situation has two readings. There is a positive one, because we are going to the real massification of the concept of CCTV evolved to home IPTV. What is not so good is that the capture solutions that are being used are not of the best quality, because it is not a secret that many marketers are distributing large quantities of low-quality "toys" to popularize fashions and obtain good profit margins. This is where you have to pay attention.
Dear reader, residential CCTV is becoming very popular and as the administrative theory of each threat says, an opportunity also arises. Take yours!
